Non-attending to complaints

I had purchased on 31/07/2008, a 1.5 ton LG split a/c,model no. L5A5WB2VFI,
[sl no. 804LPLQ001032 +805LPFJ001219] from Chroma Vashi.

The unit was installed in my house on 3/08/08.

Nobody from LG India visited my house/called for servicing the a/c for the entire year.

When there was a problem with my a/c , I lodged a complaint W9C 52803576 on 15 April 2009 , a complaint which is yet to be resolved.

People from LG having been ringing up , fixing up the appointment and then do not not turn up at the appointed time there by making the hapless consumer wait indefinitely.

Even today , I HAD to ring up once again for getting the unresolved complaint reactivated.
Now the new no given is W9C52803576 of 28/05/2009 .

What I want to understand is what happened to my earlier comlaint and how it has been \’closed\’

I do hope that this time the problem is resolved for good and the warranty period is extended by the period corresponding to non attendance of complaint.

One Mr Tushar rang up at 1840 hrs of today[29/05/09] and started asking the same questions which I have replied \’n \’ no of times before, for this very complaint.

Is it window or Split?
From where did you purchase it ?
What is the problem ?
When did you purchase?
Who fitted it ?

Although I was in no mood to answer ALL these questions [because of my prevoius BAD experience ], still I patiently answered and told him that as a LG person he should have all these details with him . He asked me my address and directions which I dutifully gave.

His reply, after ALL this RAMAYANA, was that “I am very busy and have got a lot of calls to attend and hence cannot come.I will inform my supervisor.”

Should this be the case ,why give a ring at all.

I purchased a voltas vertis + AC from M/s JK Electricalsm Sector 18 Noida, on 13 May. After I made full payment, a sealed carton was sent to my home on a rickshaw. Their team came to install. After installation, when they were pushing the AC in, I noticed the iron grill / mesh in front of cooling coils was dented. Apparently it had suffered the damage BEFORE packing, because the front panel was OK. As the unit came in a sealed package, I could not notice earlier. Had I noticed, I would not have purchased a defective piece. God knows what else BEHIND the grill had also been damaged.
I therefore asked the dealer to replace the piece. Now since he had the money already with him, he passed off the responsibility to Voltas and advised me to speak to them.
I have launched numerous complaints to VOLTAS. Unfortunately, despite their mechanics having examined and reporting noisy compressor and remote NoT working, NO action has been taken to replace the piece.
I am stuck with a sub standard AC. It is defective. Their Quality Control and the dealer who sold the piece, are guilty of cheating me and passing off a defective piece. I dont trust VOLTAS anymore and want the piece RETURNED. I also want them to compense me for the harassment.

Airtel Digital TV Service Sucks

If you are going for Airtel Digital service, be prepared for the consequences. Customer care service will ask you to wait for more than 2 hours till the match gets over :-( . Without any valid reason they tell some technical issue. And getting the customer care connection is also a nightmare in the busy hours.

DEFECTIVE AC SET, NOT REPAIRED DURING GUARANTEE PERIOD AND NOT REPLACED
Dear sir,

We have purchased an voltas AC on 09/08/08, from M/S Electro Cooling appliances, Guwahati, 1.5 ton, vertis plus Window AC, srno.037282.After purchase, it was not working, the dealer informed that it was a defective set.After 3 months with service centre, it was reinstalled at our residence.

In April, 09, when we needed AC on arrival of summer season, there was a problem that the compressor was always swithched -on even after the AC was switched -off.We have been complaining for the same to M/S Electro Cooling Appliances since April, 09.

But when it was not repaired, on 17/05/09, we e-mailed to company as a last option. On 19/05/2009, one tech.of company`s authorised service centre has taken the circuit and subsequently complete set from our residence, the repair of the same was delayed and the same was reinstalled on 06/06/09.

But still the same problem persists-compressor is always swithched on even if temprature reaches below the set temprature, even if AC is switched off and even in FAN mode.

I do not want to give the AC for further repair as your serivice centre normally takes few months in repair and I do not want to spoil my summer after bearing the cost of AC 10 months earlier. I claim of replacement of defective set with new AC as per the terms of guarantee. Being a large corporate, the company should adhere to the terms of guarantee .

Being harrassed by the poor service, poor quality of AC and not adherence to the guarantee for purchase, I will not have any other option but to take a legal help in the matter. But I request the company to provide the good service in north east also as we are paying much more than what paid by the customer in other parts of India.
