Not giving service and warranty in warranty period

Respected Sir,
I have purchased the dell inspiron laptop 1525 in month of july 08. they have given me one year warranty. now the laptop battery is not working properly. it is at end of its life. i have told them to replace the battery,as my laptop is under warranty period. but they are saying that they won’t replace the battery and we have to purchase a battery from them…how can i purchase a battery if my laptop is under warranty period….?
Go to the consumer court and file a case against thr dealer and the company. If the battery is faulty and cannot be repaired satisfactorily they will have to replace it.
