Poor quality Battery

I had purchased battery of Okaya make on 7/6/2007. for Rs 6300/-. Battery was with 18 month warranty.
The battery got problem of charge in july 2008.
I had complained regarding it and battery was replaced on 10/7/2008.
New battery TUBULAR was installed and again as summer have started battery got problem in april 2009 . The replaced battery lasted only (only 9 moths)whereas company had assured me of full life warranty as per original erms and condition.
i HAD LODGED COMPLAINT No, 11948. but they have refused to accept the condition.
PLS ADVISE AS I FEEL CHEATED BY THE COMPANY. A BIG BRAND ADVERTISING IN MARKET FOR 18 – 24 MONTHS WARRANTY FAILS IN JUST 9 MONTHS. AND THEN THEY LEAVE CUSTOMER HELPLESS.

    Normally in case of replacement of a product, the new product carries warranty only for the remainder of the period from the date of original purchase. So your warranty period expired in decenmber 2008 irrespective of whether you replaced the battery or not.

    But this does not mean that the company is not answerable. If they have replaces the battery earlier it means that their are certain issues with the product. Please file a case in the consumer court of your district.
