I am a resident of Makhu in punjab. My area was recently shifted from RPO chandigarh to RPO Amritsar. So we are going to Amritsar instaed of Chandigarh. earlier the experience at passport office chandigarh was very bad. People used to stand in line that went out of the office into the street even in hot summer. There was no arrangement for sitting. People used to stand in long lines from 8 A.M. Sometimes turn came after standing for four to five hours. the staff at Chandigarh regional passport office chandigarh was very rude and insensitive. The man at reception was very ill mannered and the guards were also rude and i had many bad experiences as my passport was not issued despite many visits and harassment.

However at Amritsar there is comfortable sitting for everybody. You dont thave to stand in line for long. You just go there, get your coupon number and sit in the lobby and wait for your turn to arrive. this is a very good change and people like me who have been shifted to RPO Amritsar are happy and lucky also. Hope RPO chandigarh will learn from RPO Amritsar and behave well with the citizens of this country.
